UK and France rewrite ‘one in one out’ treaty to stop removed migrants returning

The UK and France have agreed to modify their "one in, one out" treaty, which aimed to prevent migrants from entering the UK through the English Channel, to address concerns about migrants being returned to France. Under the revised agreement, migrants who are removed from the UK will be able to access asylum procedures in France, rather than being immediately deported back to their country of origin.
